SBTi’s FLAG Guidance

On Tuesday, the 14th of March, we (ERM/Sustainalize) are hosting a first webinar about SBTi’s Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) Guidance as part of a webinar series on the new developments around land-based emissions. During this webinar we dive deeper into how this sector guidance impacts companies with land-based emissions in their value chain. Our experts share their knowledge on the topic and will answer all your questions during a live Q&A.

Considering the increasing demand for agricultural, forest and land use products and services projected in the coming years, it is important to include and reduce land-based emissions. SBTi has developed the FLAG Guidance to align reduction pathways according to scientific standards. But how can companies use this guideline to work towards a net-zero future? What does the FLAG Guidance require? And when is it time to really start?

  • Misha Elkerbout, Associate Partner & Teamlead Impact & Performance. With his detailed knowledge of Science-Based Targets and having worked with several food & agricultural companies, he will provide interesting insights surrounding SBTi FLAG.
  • Olivier Lambrecht, Senior Consultant. Expert in carbon footprinting / inventories across the whole value chain, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and more. He has worked with a large number of multinational clients in the food & agricultural sectors on SBTi and decarbonization. He is currently running first projects on SBTi FLAG.
