Getting insight in CO2 emissions is a crucial step when creating climate plans. Due to lack of time and resources, not every organization is able to gather this information. Sustainalize’s new calculation tool changes this. The tool allows small and medium-sized organizations to calculate their CO2 emissions within 30-60 minutes.
“The tool is user-friendly, informative and provides immediate insight due to its clear layout,” says impact consultant Emile van Gelder, who regularly makes CO2 calculations for companies. The methodology of Decarbonalize is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. This is worldwide the most widely used standard and is also part of laws and regulations. This allows you to calculate your CO2 emissions professionally.
Sustainalize believes that calculating carbon emissions should be accessible and understandable for everyone. This way, every organization can set credible reduction targets, and develop plans to achieve them. To accelerate the transition to a cleaner economy, Sustainalize wants to ensure that everyone is able to participate.
Decarbonalize will be published Thursday, November 17, on Sustainalize’s website and is supported by Urgenda. During the National Sustainability Congress, real-time CO2 emissions calculations will be made at our stand. Anyone who will not be attending the National Sustainability Congress can download and fill in the CO2 calculation tool on the website.
